Heat shields in place for now but the problem is with the long straight boot of the MSD wire .
Here's a pic using the stock wire measured for how much the MSD is out from the shield , note the pen mark . Also , about as straight out as I could get it .

She's starting to look pretty . Can't install the injectors and rail yet . I have 2 rails and damaged both so I am going to use to one off the truck when I pull it . That and swap the base pan .

You can change the ends, as long as you have enough slack in the wires it's self. you will need the 90 degree boot and inside clip. cut the wire close to the old clip slide off old boot, slide on new boot, trim back casing take the center inside bend back over wire and slip on clip and crimp it slide new boot and done. I always get the wires that need to be put together, this way you can make them as long or short you want, plus gives me a reason to take longer in the garage or shed and drink beer with out hearing the old lady..LOL..

My plan is to cut the boot off with a blade , and kinda peel it off leaving the tab in place , then remove the straight tab , slide on new angled boot , reattach tab , slip boot down over it . Then send the wife a text " Fixing truck , having one beer , be in the house in 20 minutes . If not there in 20 minutes , read text again !" ![Wink](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
