Default Trouble starting and staying started

2001 Ram 1500 5.9 217k miles...Basically the truck has been sitting a few months after it stopped running I try to start it from time to time but its been needing a jump every time and even then its really hard to start. After getting it started the only way it will idle is if I keep my foot on the gas for maybe 10 mins then it will finally idle on its own. Then if I try to move it the truck won't make it out of the drive way without dying. I have another car so I haven't worried about it but I'm looking to sell the truck and id like to sell it running if it isn't gonna cost an arm and a leg to fix. Also the truck won't start after it dies. I can only assume the alternator is bad and possible the CPS.

But a good charge on the battery, and see if that doesn't improve its attitude some. The electrical on these trucks gets strange with a low battery.

Default Throttle position sensor.

I have a 2001 dodge ram 5.9 150k miles, and it did the same thing and it was the Throttle position sensor

Yea I've seen some crazy things happen to my truck when my battery was dying so this is where it gets weird after I charged it all the way up it still wouldn't start unless I jumped it and the battery is less than a year old and tested good I mean should I try new cable connections ?

Clean the battery terminals good. Shouldn't need a jump to start with a charged battery. Does it roll over slow, or just not wanna fire?

OK well I changed the TPS and got it jumped again and it ran and drove a little but cut it off and wouldn't start. Turn the key and it clicks a couple times then nothing the battery is a year old so it should be good but I think I'm gonna have it checked again cause even after a good charge I still had to jump the truck

If the battery froze, it is more than likely toast.
