Default 46RE 2nd to 3rd high rpm shift

hello all,
ive searched high and low for my issue and i've found issues close but not the same.
2000 ram 1500 5.9 4x4

i had the issue of a missing gear and I dropped the pan and found the front band anchor in the pan. I reset the front band 2 7/8, and rear band 2, and replaced the wire harness, solenoids and filter. put it back together and all gears worked again.
My problem now is the up shift from 2nd gear into 3rd gear... it shifts lovely from a stop up to highway speeds when i run through the gears, but when cruising in traffic with a light foot and lower speeds in the 30-40 mph range, the 3rd gear hits about 2500 rpm (was 3200 rpm but i released tension from the TV cable).
Do i need to play more with the TV cable or is this a band adjustment issue?
what happens with a tight or loose band, and does tight or loose bands change shift ranges?

thanks for your help, I'm glad to have joined the forum!

Loose bands will just give you a bit of a flare between gears.

Think I would start by adjusting the TV cable back to what it would be stock. See how that does. (maybe it was out of adjustment initially, or maybe binding??)

thanks HeyYou.
i adjusted the TV to stock, and everything in between to rule out TV causing the issue.
as it shifts from 2nd to 3rd under a no-load light peddle, or even coasting, it shifts real hard into 3rd about 2500-2700 rpm. feels like a late shift because then 4th and OD are cut short. just wondering what could cause the late hard shift when puttsing in slow traffic.
you said a loose band gives flare, what does a tight band do?

It will drag and produce a lot of heat, might give you those symptoms, but, I am not sure they are actually involved in third gear..... Would have to look into that.

Wonder if your 'new' pressure sensor is giving false readings...... do you have the ability to log some data while driving?

Data logging is capturing data the PCM puts out in real time. Need a scan tool that is capable of doing it, or, a laptop computer with the right software, and cable.
