So on my 97 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd, I am getting a screeching noise coming from the right front wheel I think when I turn or hit bumps. The emergency brake light is on as well as the ABS light. They didn't click on until the screeching had started so im assuming they go hand in hand with the issue. Any ideas on what it might be?

 

2 or 4 wheel ABS?

 

Most likely 4 wheel abs. Metal shavings on the sensor will set off the ads lights. Brake and abs lite means there is a fault in the brake/abs system. Could be a bad speed sensor also. Need to find out what code you have. Did you check the brake pads? Brake pads have squealers on them to alert you they are worn down.

 

I haven't checked the breaks, it doesnt squeal or anything when i brake at all.it doesn't seem like the brakes are faulty or have a hard time when being used either. It only squeals on bumps or when I turn the wheel mostly to the right I would say.

 

Check wheel bearings.
