Default Suggestions for an engine build!!

Hello again!

Im hoping to get some input on building a new 5.9 magnum block for my 99 ram 1500. I plan on starting with a rebuilt 5.9 and probably adding a higher performance rated cam, heads, and double roller timing chain. Im not looking to make insane horsepower or anything but I would like a little more giddyup and above all a solid, reliable build that will last me a long time. I have found several rebuilt 5.9's online that come with stock cams/heads but I would rather upgrade so i dont have thesame head issues im having now! Ive heard great things about engine quests heads and Im fairly certain thats what I want to go with.. As for cams im not entirely sure but i found a set on summit racing that look to be pretty decent. (URL's below) Please throw in any other upgrades/ideas you may have..

First off SEARCH............................................ .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .............

There are tons of build threads on here and recommendations for heads and cams. Use the search button and read.
You can get the EQ heads on Ebay cheaper.
That is the wrong type of cam you have listed from Summit. Our engines use a roller cam not flat tappets. Also buy some books on how to rebuild a small block magnum and how to hot rod a small block magnum.

What do you want to do with your truck? Tow/Haul? Snowplowing? Off-roading? Mudding?

What is your budget? What do you plan to use the truck for? Tons of existing threads if you search.

I'm not trying to bust your ***** and I hate it when I ask a question and someone tells me to search. But in this case you really do need to search. There are a ton of threads on here about rebuilding the 5.2 & 5.9 engines.

You need to give us a little more info and help us to try and answer your questions. Now if you did a search read the threads on rebuilding and then asked specific questions you'll stand a better chance of getting a answer.

I will definitely do a search. But to answer your questions my truck is a daily driver that i like to have some fun with. I mainly use 4x4 only in the winter time and on occasion to hit the trails. I rarely ever tow, and if i do its usually nothing to serious.. really i just want a rock solid reliable setup that I can have some fun with. Ive had thoughts about adding a bolt on supercharger in the future, but i dont plan on making a super street monster or anything.. thats what i have my Mustang for What you guys think?
