Default Buying new lift need help

ok so I plan on getting a 3 inch rough country lift to go with some 33's I have. I simply don't know if my ram is an offroad edition lol as stupid as it sounds. it says the lift doesn't fit offroad models. mine is a 2001 dodge ram 1500 sport 4x4 all I know is that it has blocks on the rear right now I don't know if theyre factory or what. how can I tell if it's an offroad model? also if those blocks are stock do I stack the new blocks from the lift on top of those or do I just replace them??

Now sure about what model you have. But when adding blocks, you will stack those on top of your current blocks using the new u-bolts the lift comes with.

There is a link in the DIY/FAQ section to get a build sheet for your truck. That will tell you if its an off-road edition or not.

Go here http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html
on the left side click "Equipment Listing", enter VIN and you'll get the build sheet for your truck

I also heard that the sports came standard lifted 3 inches with longer springs and the blocks on the rear is this true? if so will the 3 inch lift I buy not change the height at all? all I can see is that it has blocks on the rear

ok so I looked up my vin and none of the features said anything regarding to off road package, but is there specific features that make it the offroad package. the only thing that I saw that would maybe lead to it being the offroad package would be heavy duty shocks up front and a few other heavy duty features, any ideas? also it said no where of having blocks in the back did those come stock or did someone put them on? thanks

If it didn't say off road package you don't have it.
