Default 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Black Smoke

Blows black smoke wont pass smog. Eats the gas up!! Transmission will make the truck shake at 55 mph so have to turn off overdrive. Would that cause a problem? Truck would die after 15 miles of driving put new crankshaft position sensor seemed to help. Have put on new plugs wires rotor cap camshaft position sensor idle air control sensor throttle position sensor. Has 210,000 miles new heads 50,000 miles ago. Trying to get rid of black smoke to pass smog need ideas

Sounds a lot like a sticky/stuck injector. Determining which is left as an exercise to the reader.

Shaking is due to a miss. Black smoke is running rich. And no, that won't pass emissions.

You have more than one problem going on there.

How old are the cap/rotor/plugs/wires?

X2 .
-unburned gas = black smoke
-stuck injector = gas eater
-Shake in OD = too much fuel at low RPM drowning spark . OD off means 3rd gear and higher revs and ability to burn the fuel better .

Check oil for gas smell and change right away if detected
Check injectors for clicking with stethoscope if possible , if not , pull plugs and look for gas soaked or washed plugs .
Always use new injector o-ring seals if replacements are needed !
