I'm running the test again, I'm just wondering if it is normal to smell fuel vapor from your purge solenoid? I know it's unrelated but just was wondering. I'll update you with my results.

Yep, purge solenoid is exactly that, it 'purges' the vapor recovery canister into the intake, and the gas fumes are simply burned off.

Ya my compression tester was crap so I took it to the shop for the test. I was told all cylinders are between 146 and 150. I didn't get a paper or anything for what each cylinder was. I can if I need to. What else could I check?

I replaced all 8. It could be a faulty one possibility but it's firing on all 8 now. Just rough idle and hard to start now. I have to have my foot on the gas to get it started.

Clean the throttle body, especially the IAC well. Reset PCM, and let the truck re-learn idle. How old is the IAC motor?

The iac is brand new. The other one was so bad. I'll clean the throttle body. When it's relearning idle will it kinda shake?

No, it should run just fine, it may just require keeping your foot on it for a little bit to get it to start, then idle on its own....... if you still have a miss, you still have a problem.

I said earlier on this forum that my intake was warped so I put the air gap kit on it. I have read that it has the injectors at a slightly different angle so it might have to relearn. Do you know if this is true?

Shouldn't matter..... Unless the angle is really bad.

You've done a compression test, and such, haven't you?
