Default 5.9 gas lifter noise?

Replaced a head on this engine due to an exhaust manifold bolt hole that leaked coolant. Put on new head, easy enough. Checked lifters, straight and clean interiors. Engine has under 25K on it.
Have a sound like a rocker tapping. Minor at start. Gets more acute as the engine gets to operating temp. Listening with a stethoscope, sound seems to center at one of the rockers. I'm sure they were put on OK, since I went back in to check. Have checked the injectors disconnecting each while running, no change in sound there.
Engine runs fine. Wondering if the existing lifters and rods should have been changed with the new head, engine is a rebuild. Advice?

Any warranty left on the engine?

Can you run it, and determine exactly which rocker part is making the noise? (valve covers off, yeah, I know, messy.....)

Is the noise coming from the side with the new head?

Hey.
Warranty left. I think problem is either a sticky lifter, or rocker problem.. Feel noise is from a rocker. Considering the cover off check. Waiting for a response from the MFGR on this. FYI, grew up in Toledo. Spent my summers at Devils lake. Still have the old school family cottage there which is a rarity on the lake anymore. cheers

Howdy Neighbor.

I find my way up to devils lake on occasion. Friend used to live up there.... but, he has since moved. Hudson lake is MUCH closer, but, not nearly as nice of a beach. There is zero shade to be had there.
