My stereo hasn't quit working. is there a possibility that I get a bad ignition switch and it'd be a good idea to try different one just wondering? Came from auto douche bags
Does the stereo work with the key is on??? What works with the key on???? Anything??? Read my posts, You need to see if you have power(key on) to the fuses(in the cab). You will need a volt meter (preferably) or test light.

auto douche bags ??? WTF? Maybe a reputable parts store would be a start.

Did you actually unplug your ignition switch at the column and look at the terminals yet?

Power from the key switch goes to the fuses then to what they are for such as blower motor, windows etc. You need to find where you are loosing it at. Start at the switch connector and follow it to the "load" (blower motor, window motor etc...). You will need a wiring diagram and a meter.

(grounds) Something I've seen a ton of times is the dash brackets on both ends where it mounts to the body, behind the kick panels. People will do a heater core or evaporator and not tighten the large bolts down. That is a HUGE ground loss if that shakes around or isn't making good contact.
