Default '98.5 2500 diesel 4x4, no power to starter soleno, no power to windows or A/C blower

My solenoid came apart, made it home and replaced lifetime warranteed starter. While starting, starter stopped working before starting. With key on, I ran hot wire to solenoid and starts that way, but no power to the power windows or the AC blower motor. Replaced ignition switch, no difference. Using a jumper wire at the plug in of the ignition switch I can make windows and blower work, but not key activation of solenoid/starter. Can anyone Help me please.

Checked every single one with a meter, even the fuseable links to the fuel heater grid. All fuses in interior fuse block also checked. I am at a total loss with this problem. Thanks though.

If you bypass the starter relay, Will it crank?

Thanks for your replies...

Yes. With the key on, and using a positive wire straight from battery to starter solenoid, it cranks and runs, but no power to the windows or the A/C blower while running. Turns off with key, and everything else seems to work. When turning key to "start" position, everything "transfers" to start mode (radio off, wipers stop etc...) but getting no power to solenoid....

Did you replace the ignition switch? (or was that someone else's thread?)

Thanks again. Yes, replaced ignition switch, checked all fuses, fuseable links, all relays and wire connections at battery and PDC.

Thanks for you're patience, and helpful hints.

Time to start tracing the circuit, and see where you are losing power. It's evidently in the starting circuit, so, first thing to check is, does the ignition switch actually send power to the control side of the starter relay? Pin 86 on the relay. (do you have auto, or manual trans?)
