P0711 Trans Temp Sens, No Temp Rise After Start

P0740 Torque Conv Clutch, No RPM Drop at Lockup

Trans codes. Wow, big surprise. Might be related to low fluid level.

Correct procedure is: Engine at operating temp, trans in neutral. (preferably, after having been driven a bit, make sure all passages are filled.)

If just getting the level correct doesn't help, check the 8 pin connector on the drivers side of the trans, 'bout halfway back. Make sure the wires aren't frayed, and it is plugged in good.

Welcome to DF!

In the trans. It's actually part of the governor pressure sensor. If you have to go in there to replace it, (fluid and filter change too at that point) get the Borg Warner heavy duty replacement set. Electrical advantage sells 'em for around a c-note on ebay. Comes with pressure sensor, and HD governor solenoid.
