Default Cab over camper

Are the 6ft bed 1500 rams not supposed to have cab over campers on them? I am having a hard time finding them for sale. Seems like endless ones for 8ft beds on 2500 and 3500s!

You'll have a helluva time finding a cabover that's not an overload for a 1500. As you know by now!

Lance has one (I thin the 805) that's for 1500 trucks. You are likely going to be way overloaded on your Dodge though. I'd get a short or long bed pop up to stay light.

Or buy a 2500/3500.

So this wouldn't work? I don't plan on using the sink or fridge. I just want a a place to sleep instead of a tent or sleeping bags in the bed of the truck! http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/rvs/5022685498.html or am I doomed to just buy a camper shell?

900 and some change pounds when full of water and gas? Your truck should be able to deal with that.

One like that, or a pop up will work. You may have to install Stable Loads or airbags with it. That 900 will become 1500 lbs real quick loaded.

I've been doing some reaserch the last 12 months looking for the best option also. I like the pop up listed above, but the wieght is already above 1000lb with gas and water. I think the two best ways to go is..... spend some coin on something a bit newer and lighter(2004+ pop up for a short bed) they are out there. Or buy a shell/build your own
