Default Dodge Ram 1500 No Start

Hello, I have a problem with a friends truck not starting. It all started after we replaced the motor, Same motor 318 (old one locked up). Here is where it gets weird. We got the motor in no problem hooked every thing back up in the right place. We have good fuel pressure 45 pounds, good fuel flow volume, New injectors with fuel rail. Good spark right from the coil its self and also from the plug wires, So Crank sensor must be good. Plug wires are in the right order, New rotor cap with rotor button. Engine cranks over fine some times it will hit like its going to start, while other times it will start for a matter of seconds then die. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. We are stumped on what is wrong with it, also its not throwing any codes. All reference voltage to the sensors are 5.0v, All fuses/ relays are good/working order

Yea check the firing order and fuel sync. Might want to put a timing light on it to see where it is firing.

Did you turn the distributor? Probably need to reset it again. Turning changes injector timing, does nothing with ignition timing. (aside from lining up the wrong terminal when the coil fires....)

If you are getting spark, then you are more than likely not getting fuel. Is the cam position sensor plugged in? (its the one in the dist.)

Yes we are getting fuel, cause it will start some times and does not matter if you try to to run it off starting fluid. I will try what you guys said and see if it starts Thanks again

Did the distributor get removed from the new motor at all? Verify that the distributor is pointing at the mark in the picture above when it's at the top of the compression stroke. If it was removed, it's possible it was reinstalled in the wrong orientation.

Which specific code? (it does make a difference)

Are you getting 5 volts TO the sensor?
