Default truck wanders (still, just not as bad).

When I got my truck it was in bad shape. The previous owner did absolutely nothing to take care of it. The first time I drove the truck it wandered all over the road, and if you hit a bump in the road it would just about change lanes by it self.

Sense then, I have had the ball joints replaced, all the tie rods replaced, track bar replaced, steering stabilizer replaced, steering gear box replaced, new shocks and brakes. Today I installed a steering box brace.

All of this has made my truck drive a hundred time better going down the road, BUT, it still wanders a little going down the road.

The only thing that I have not had replaced are the trailing arm bushings.
If these bushings are bad can they cause the truck to wander ?.

It seems like I have had everything replaced, and these bushing are the only thing left, unless I`m missing something else ?.

The truck has 198000 miles on it.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Does rotating the tires change anything? Few times I've had wandering it's been delaminated tires, new tires solved it.

The tires are worn out, but they all have even wear and the tire pressure is correct.
It has stock size tires on it.

Verify your steering linkage and everything else is tight. Have a friend help. Sometimes, the 'new' steering boxes are worse than the one you are replacing.

I have checked everything, and its all tight. I`m not seeing any play any were in the steering. Even with the steering brace installed the wandering is still there.

Everything steering related is new, that`s why I was asking about the trailing arm bushings. With a 198000 miles on them, can they or do they wear out ?, and if they were bad could they cause the truck to wander a little ?.

I have read on here were others have replaced there trailing arm bushings and it made a big difference. It almost seems like the only thing left, unless I`m missing something.

I will be getting new tires, but it will be a couple of months before I can do that.

Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't introduce a bit o' wander..... replacing them sure wouldn't hurt. (maybe some poly bushings?) Also, worn tires will give you some odd behavior as well. If the rears have more tread, try rotating them, and see if anything changes.

It will be a couple of months, but I will see what improvements a set of new tires will give me, and go from there.

Healthy worn tires can do this. We understand saving up for sure.

In the meantime, let's get some pictures up.

Alignment specs.

Both cam bolt positions

Straight on of the front to see full front end
