Default Intermittent Wipers

I have a 99 1500 V8 Magnum and my wipers only work on slow or fast speed. Checked all the fuses and none are popped, put in a new motor and multifunction switch and they still do not work on intermittent only slow and fast, any suggestions and where the problem might be originating from?

Check the wiring. Are you getting correct voltages on the right wires for intermittent operation?

There is a timer unit behind the dash. It's probably bad.

Would you by chance have a diagram of where the time unit is located behind the dash?

On my '95, it's to the right of the steering column. It has a label on it identifying it. Don't know if yours is the same. Remove the knee bumper and have a look. It's a small black box looking thing.

Grab the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams, and component locations are in there.

hi guys, what's going on - more broken dodge's. haha.

check the Central Timing Module CTM. the multifunction switch sends a variable voltage to the CTM which sends 12v pulses to the low speed wiper circuit.

a common contributing problem is a broken or shorted wire in the steering column at the tilt joint.
