Probably use my welder more to get broken stuff out than I do to build stuff.

So what's the trick to the rotor

I've read the manuals and most just say to pull the hub off. I welded up a puller that mounts with the lug nuts then I can use a 3 jaw puller. Its moved about a 1/4" but that's about it. There's not much I can seem to do with penetrating oil on it.

What year is your truck? Half-ton? 3/4 ton? Rotors go on over the hubs, or are they staked on from the back?

Rotors are probably just rusted to the hubs then. Are you replace the hub/bearings as well? You can get the rotors to break loose by smacking them HARD with hammer, right on the edge of the "hat". (not the swept surface, thankyouverymuch.) Might take a couple good whacks. Once they break loose, should be able to pull them off by hand.

Ya, I need to get them out to replace the axle u-joints.

I got the rotors off, the issue is that the bearing assembly is seized to the knuckle. I've tried to chisel around the assembly as well as using a drift. So far, no luck except to customize the dust cover a bit. lol

Take half-inch drive extension, and the right size socket for the bolts that hold the hub/bearing in place. Drop a nut into the socket, so the bolt head will bottom on the nut, and not the shoulder of the bolt. Screw the bolt in about half an inch or so, put the socket/extension on, and position it so when you turn the wheels, it will jam against something that isn't going to move. (like, the knuckle....) Then, start the engine, and use the power steering to get the hub/bearing to break loose, simply by turning the wheel in the right direction. Once you get it to break loose, it will come out easy.

Success, thanks for the help. Glad I have a press for the u-joint, it was beyond help from the vise.
