New Throttle Valve Cable, Now no Throttle
Installed a new tv cable on my 97 5.9 since i broke the retaining clip, while removing the throttle body to clean the quarter million miles of gunk out of it.Genuine Mopar/mexico part bought from my local dealership, said no adjustments needed. When installing, lever on transmission full forward/idle,throttle lever at closed, hooked it up and it is way to tight, can barely move the lever with extreme force.Cable is routed just like original.I'm guessing i do need to adjust this? and I've looked at so many sites I'm tired of looking, somebody get me down the road again, please.

Disconnect it from both ends, see how much cable travel you get.
If that's ok, check and make sure nothing is binding externally on the lever on the trans. (and the springs allow it full movement.)
After that, check and make sure you can open the throttle all the way by hand, and that nothing is binding there....
Seems strange that this should screw up now.....
