Default 46re transmission problems.. Urgent help needed

I'll start by saying, I've been grounded for months. I'm not an experienced mechanic but through working on my own vehicles and determination I've gained a lot of knowledge and skill but I'm unable to get any further. I need any advice, other than take it to a shop. I can't afford that option as of yet. I started out this project to correct the common transmission issues that everyone sees with the band adjustments and solenoid failures. The front band anchor was found in the pan when I dropped it. I can not lower the valve body to snake it back into place. I'm attempting to remove the shift linkage. The 2-7/16 bolts have been removed, all information I've found shows the levers being pryed off. ( forgive the manner of the language). On the tip of the shaft it is mushroomed and I can not see how the lever will even come off if I could pry them up. The transmission has not been dropped bc I have no way of doing so. please if you have any links or anything let me know. I have yet to find any way to complete this job and it's getting harder to rely on others to get around. Thanks again. Picture is included.

Pic isn't showing.

Can you push the levers DOWN, to expose the mushroomed end of the shaft, and file it off? The levers then should slide right off.

Either that, or, I assume the bolts are just pinch bolts, and that the part of the lever is able to expand/contract to fit correctly. (and get a good grip.) Could try sticking a screwdriver in the gap there, and prying them open far enough to get them off.

The picture was to large to post. The pinch bolts were removed. Prying them forward through the gap on the levers isn't going to happen due to clearance. Filing it off isn't something I've tried but maybe a last resort. Thanks for the input.

Maybe get a smaller puller? Of course, that may cause more problems than it solves...... wouldn't wanna break one of the levers.

Should have been "small puller". For pulleys, small gears, and such. Might work......

If you do replace the band anchor get a better performance one. My trans snapped two anchors within a month before I ordered a new one. Also is your governor solenoid clogged?
