Default Pops thur intake, and bogs . First geat only

2001 Dodge 1500 4x4 with 360.

Issue: When you stomp on the gas it pops back thur the intake and bogs. If you put the selector in 2 and stomp on the gas. It takes off with no poping, back or bogging. If you put the selector in R and stomp on the gas it will smoke the rear tires. If you come to a complete stop and let the tranny come into first and stomp on it it pops back . The only gear it does it in is 1st.

Things that have been changed: computer, fuel injectors, cap and wires and plugs, cam sensor, fuel pump.

Please help nothing seems to stop this. And no one seems to know why it is doing it.
Just keep throwing money at it with no succes.

Why are you stomping on the pedal so often?

Test the throttle position sensor. Being in first gear *shouldn't* have anything to do with it...... shouldn't......

Welcome to DF!

If it is the sensor why does it do it in first gear only. You say !st has nothing to do with it. I want to believe you. But hard to wrap my head around. When no matter what we try, it only does it in first.
Seems as the sensor would do it in other gears also ?

You would think so, but, the PCM really doesn't care what gear the trans is in.... (until you get up to around 45 mph or so.....) Does it only do it at large throttle openings? Or, does it do it when trying to accelerate from any speed/any throttle position?

Popping through the intake almost seems like a minor valve issue. Have you pulled the VC off and checked all the rockers and springs. I know VC gaskets aren't expensive

Blown plenum gasket can cause it also. Did you happen to look down the tb for oil at the bottom?

From a dead stop. A fairly fast take off it will pop thur the intake. Although if put in second, with the same type of take off it dos not do it. or in reverse. No, I'm not slamming it to the floor. Now if you take it real easy or sart in second then **** to drive it does not do it. Or if you put it in 1st and do the same take off it will not pop. ONLY in drive.

Check the plenum.

Check that the shift linkage isn't chafing some wiring.

That's a weird one.
