Default new rear diff, no ABS or speedo

So I had a new rear differential, ring and pinion and related replaced and now have no rear ABS or speedometer. Both worked before the install. Is the speedo run off the carrier in these vehicles, and could they have installed an incompatible unit? Or are all 12 bolt 9.25" carriers the same?

Speedo and ABS both get their clue from the rear wheel speed sensor on the rear diff. Right on top. It reads a tone ring mounted behind the ring gear. If you paid someone to install the new rear end, take it back to them, and have them fix it, as obviously, they did something wrong......

If you did the work, make sure the sensor is there, and plugged in.

What did the donor rear come out of?

It was a new yukon differential and ring and pinion set, as listed here. I had a friends shop install it, I'm out of state at the moment. Here is the kit http://ebay.com/itm/281206796706?_mwBanner=1

I worked with a guy who forgot to put the tone ring on a Ford once. As soon as he fired it up and backed it out of his stall, ABS light... he knew exactly what he forgot and tore it back apart. Bummer.

He pulled it apart this morning, and seems the issue is that the new car ring didn't include the ring for the speedo, and the old carrier has it cash into the case. Is there somewhere I can order just that ring and bolt it to the new carrier? And are they offered with different teeth counts like in manual transmissions to a count for gear ratio and tire sizes? Gears are 4.10s turning 295/75r16

If he didn't change the carrier tone ring should still be there it goes on before the ring gear
