by some chance do you have a vacuum leak at the throttle body giving you a false map reading. Grey smoke with no cat sounds like fuel to me.

 

New throttle gasket. The rich fuel I'm pretty sure is the fouled O2 sensor.

 

Put in a new sensor. NGK, or Denso please. Skip bosch. Our trucks don't really care for them. Reset the PCM, and see if some of your problems disappear.

 

Yea. I was trying to wait for the smoke to drop down some. Im just wondering what's causing the misfire and low compression. But I'll know tonight

 

Cleaned plugs and new O2. Truck idles on deceleration better. And no smoke anymore. But can someone explain how to burp the coolant better as the truck doesn't seem to want to run at 180. It's sitting at 200 according to my gauge and fluctuates in either direction slightly.

 

1,5,7 160psi
3 135psi
2,4,6,8 160psi
Cylinder 3 wet test 170psi

 

Rings on 3 are going.

Yea I figured. That's why I wet checked. How long does it usually take for them to become catastrophic? And I tried doing it to other posts but it doesn't seem to want to let any more air out. I'm going to a buddy later with a live scanner and I'm gunn check what it thinks the temp is

 

It may stay that way for years.... or, it might fail this afternoon on your way to your friends. Its a crap shoot. But, worst that usually happens is they just stop sealing, and you end up burning some oil.

 

I can deal with that. As long as the truck is ok I'm good. I can continue upgrades and repairs
