Default Hughes Vs E-bay

So while I've noticed many people here have the Hughes plenum pan, I started to look for alternatives and found this:

http://m.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-ALUMINUM-PLENUM-GASKET-REPAIR-PLATE-1992-2003-5-2L-5-9L-/141773201228?nav=SEARCH

I searched the forum and found that someone here at one point was selling laser cut plates, but this one is waterjet cut.

Does anyone have experience with this plate?

That's the seller I bought mine from when I did the plenum, plate fit great and seemed well made.

As long as its an aluminum plate and you torque it down correctly I am sure it will be fine.

Pick up the Fel-Pro gasket while you are at it.

You can make your own out of a piece of aluminum if you have the time. It's not rocket science.

Unfortunately, time isn't something I have an abundance of...

Fel-pro gasket set @ local auto parts store - $22
Bypass hose @ local parts store - $7
E-bay plate - $75
New plenum pan bolts @ local dealer - $18
New intake bolts @ local dealer - $21

Total - $143 so only slightly cheaper than buying from Hughes.

Though, It appears I will be missing the bottom left gasket in this picture..

What is that gasket?

Does anyone know if the plenum pan bolts are TTY?
Wonder if replacing those is just a waste of money...

Gasket in question is throttle body gasket. (between tb and intake)

Pan bolts are re-usable. Make sure to use some blue loc-tite on 'em though.

Supposedly, the intake bolts aren't torque to yield either, but, I REALLY don't recommend trying to re-use them.

The dealership I just spoke to told me the intake bolts are TTY... figures they would say that to just make a sale. But I'm for replacing them either way.

Throttle body gasket brings my total up to $145 so still not bad.

Is there a major difference between the Mopar Performance intake bolts and the oem bolts?

The MP bolts are actually cheaper(Slightly with shipping), but then I have to wait for them to be shipped here.

My aluminum plate came from a seller on eBay. I've been happy with it. Mine came with new bolts though...

Performance bolts? Really? Wonder how many horsepower they add.

intake bolts are intake bolts. I don't think the stock fellers are torque to yield, the service manual says NOTHING about re-using them, or not. They ARE cheap pot-metal though..... so, replacing them is certainly a good idea.

If you are not in a hurry to get this done I would try to see how much it would cost you off RockAuto to order the parts, that is what I did
