Idk if I will be switching to dual stabilizers as the single seems plenty for me. Also moog has a kit apparently for steering rebuilds in case anybody didn't know. I was looking as I need to do uppers and lowers on mine. Anyone have an opinion towards a drop pitman arm? With only 3 inches I should be fine? It doesn't currently have one as far as I know

Got a link to the Moog "kit"? I don't feel like searching the great web....ha

No, you don't need a "drop" pitman arm. Back in the day, companies were split when it came to supplying this for just 3" lift. Kits varied greatly across the board. Since Skyjacker was one of the kits that did NOT supply it, I left it stock. Anyways, the reason I call it "drop" in quotes is because it just has a reverse taper meaning the tie rod attaches on the bottom instead of the top. This lowers the angle of the TE about an inch or so. For medium lifts (5+) it is definitely recommended and big lifts (7+) you'll need a true drop arm that is much longer.

That's the Y-style. I'll be getting the T design for the 98-99HD.

My only question is do the ball joints fit on the 1500 or do we have to get different tie rod ends?

The TREs will fit until 2000 as the taper was changed. Ball joints for a Dana 60 are larger than the Dana 44 so they will not fit.

I wouldn't install moog on my truck if somebody paid me. They went from probably about the best to one of the worst. Thank you China.

As long as the tre fits in the taper I'm good. How did dodge fix the angle of the track bar for the suspension swap in 98? Is there a factory fix or is it those expensive new mounts and bar?

There was no suspension change in 98. Only the end links for the sway bar got a better mount. The track bar fits 95-02 trucks all models. The first year 94 trucks had a different bolt or something. For 3500 trucks, they got a T style steering in 98 and 99 but not 2000. Brakes were also upgraded in 2000.
