Default Manual transmission for 318 v8?
For 5.2 L (318 cu in) Magnum V8 whats the manual transmission that fits without any modifications? 5-speed NV3500 manual 5-speed NV4500 manual 6-speed NV5600 manual any other?

It came with the 3500 behind it. 4500 will bolt up in the same spot. Not sure about the 5600....

NV3500 - 1500 and 2500LD Rams.
NV4500 - 2500HD and 3500 Rams.
NV4500HD - V10 and diesel models.
NV5600 - 99-00 Rams, and the only trans behind the H/O diesel in 01-02.

If swapping trans, check the input and output shafts, to make sure they match.

NV5600 wont work. Different bellhousing.

Np435 will give you granny low or even a t18 or t19 will also if you can find them Eaton 10spd isn't too much modifying either as far as I know
