Default Oil pressure

When the engine is warm and i stop at a stop sign the oil pressure light comes on. But if I put it in neutral or park light shuts off....????

the engine idles faster in park and neutral so the oil pump output is higher.


you could put a master gauge on the engine to verify the oil pressure. if it confirms low oil pressure, the oil pump may be worn out or the engine may be tired/xs bearing clearances.
if the pressure is ok, the sending unit may be nfg.


Some people run a higher viscosity oil.

I would start with a new oil pressure sensor since they are known to fail, if you still have the problem then try a new high flow oil pump, pickup screen, and oil pan gasket.

Plenum fixed?
