Default Windshield wiper mist switch

A teaser...

I got the wires figured out, now I just have to do the work. I am going to install a "mist" switch for my wipers. You know, just push the button once and the wipers just make a single pass. Call me **** but I find mist switches (like on my Tacoma) just handier than flicking the wipers on then off really quickly. Yes, I do also have the intermittent wiper mode too. It is going to be a simple mod, splice into one wire, another to ground and a simple SPST pushbutton switch.

P.S. I also have to jack up my post count so I can post some pics of the mod

On my 96, I just press in on the washer switch once, and the wipers will cycle twice. If you don't hold it in, you don't get any washer action.

Or flick the switch real quick to turn the wiper on and back off

Yeah, that's what I hate to have to keep doing...

If your washer switch is simply pushing in on the end of the multi-function stick, that will accomplish exactly what you want.

There is a yellow wire with a green stripe on the connector to the CTM. That is one you want tee into, using a momentary switch, to ground.

I realized why this is important to me. I usually always just drive with my left, so in order to swipe the windshield once or twice, I have to switch to the right, hit the switch then go back to the left. With the mist switch on the right, it's just a quick push of the button.

I can reach around with a finger, with my left hand on the wheel, and press the switch without trouble. I think I am missing something here.....
