spend the extra and get an OEM or Denso if you plan on keeping the truck for a while

^^Delphi is the brand you want. Least troublesome and OEM. Fuel pressure should be 49+/- 1psi according to the 2001 fsm

Thanks for the parts suggestions. My buddy is letting me borrow a fuel pressure gauge. Will test that on my next day off and if it checks out I will move on to the crank/cam sensors.

Default Vacuum leak?

Check for a vacuum leak or bad crank sensor.

Test shows 45psi at idle. It jumps up to 50psi and holds when I rev it up 2000rpms drops back down to 45psi when returned to idle. When shut off it drops to 35psi. When you click the key back to run the pump kicks on and psi jumps right to 45psi again. Any help suggestion my next move would be great.

your fuel pressure is ok, could be a bit higher, when my fuel pump was taking a dump it would start but the truck would die as soon as i started backing up or put it in gear sometimes. If its having trouble idling i would check the IAC and MAP sensor and work your way to the cam sensor.
