Intake backfire

Default Intake backfire

I recently changed my transmission and now having enteral backfireing does it have something to do with the crankshaft positioning sensor I removed and reinstalled during the re and really of the transmission thanks ken

It's a 99 ram 1500 the transmission went all I did was put anewer one in it's out of a 02 but the transmission place said I shouldn't have any issues . Other than the park neutral switch which I plugged and just wired it direct now

Didn't whack the distributor when you had the trans out did you? (may wanna have a look)

If the crank sensor was removed while the trans was doing it's out/in thing, it *should* be ok.

Default Intake backfire

I recently changed the transmission in my 99 1500 runs and idles fine but when driven I have a bad intake backfire . Would the crankshaft positioning sensor maybe have something to do with this I'm at a loss thanks ken

You maybe pinched the crank sensor harness pigtail coupling the trans back up. Seen it a million times. Done it a couple times.
