Do this when cold: Park it up hill or on a curb so the radiator cap is as high as possible. Remove cap, run truck until it warms up completely. Bubbles should work their way up and out.

Both heater hoses are hot, but the lower radiator hose is cold? How long did you run it?

Lower radiator hose will be cooler than the rest. After all, that is where the cold (relatively speaking) coolant goes back into the engine.

What is your temp gauge saying? Is it overheating?

How long did you run it? Take it on the highway for a drive. The higher rpm will work out any air left in it. The upper rad hose is hot so the t stat is opening, May still have some air left in the system. If you drill a small hole in the t stat this will allow the air out after you fill it.

This is exactly how it should work. Nothing is wrong.
