Default antenna mod

so something hit my antenna bracket on the side of the cab and now its all wobbly and the mount wont stay in place. I went ahead and took it off and installed a shorty antenna inside the bay for now but am left with an ugly thumb sized hole in the fender. anyone have any ideas on covering it up or maybe fabbing a cap to put over it?

Can you get at it from the inside? Pull the fender well, or some such? Just tack a patch to it, then use your favorite body filler, and shoot a bit of paint....

I know, it's a weird-shaped hole. How about a junk yard one, even it's a broken one? Make it flush with the base, just to plug the hole.

How is the shorty antenna working?

I've thought about installing an antenna inside the cab of my truck and filling the hole on my fender for a cleaner looking fender.

Haven't found the mount yet, but instead of you buying a new antenna use this

http://www.amazon.com/ProComm-Splitter-Stereo-Antenna-MultiPlexor/dp/B00HPH23LA

You can use your cb antenna as a am fm antenna
