So ive got a 2001 Ram 1500 SPORT that needs a new bumper.. Heres my problem, It has a bumper that looks similar to this:

in the back, and I really hate the same color'd look of the traditional sport. Besides an aftermarket (super expensive..) bumper, would use of a stock black sport bumper look fine in the front? Truck is Silver, standard cab!

What options should I consider?

 

Check the local junkyards, and see what they got.

Black bumper would look fine with silver paint. (in my opinion.)

 

Awesome Thats my thinking too, I just never liked the solid color of the sport because to me it doesnt look truck-like, it looks sports like haha (Ironic I know!) If only there were more alternatives :\

 

There are alternatives, they are just stupid expensive.... I don't have any real desire to pay almost 2 grand for a friggin' bumper.

 

What about a roll pan?

 

Thats not really my style, I like the rear bumper it has. My goal is so that it DOESNT look sport (I dont want a sports car, I want a truck, that looks like a truck) and I'm in the market for the front as opposed to both front and rear.
