The bolts can easily achieve the proper torque, trouble is, they never achieve the proper clamping force on the pan. The bolt bottoms, and torque wrench clicks, before the gasket is properly squeezed in there. But yeah, the crappy cork gasket really wasn't the best idea......

Soon I will be buying the Hughes plate cambo,complete the $159 set that should include everything i need to do the job.

I would be REAL tempted to go six bolts further, and do the timing set as well.
