Default trans ra dry, now trans knocks

Blew a cooler line and ran dry. Fixed hose and filled with atf 4. Now trans knocks above 30 mph. Higher rpm means more knock lower rpm lick tc lock out has little to no knock. Any ideas what I broke?

Probably time for a rebuild.....

Make sure fluid level is correct. Have to check it in neutral.

1 "aw ****" cancels 10 "atta boys"

Meaning you just nullified your rebuild by running it dry.

Truth. Lol. You could have had it rebuilt yesterday. Running it dry ruined it.

Yay, another $2200 I don't have but need to spend. Any idea how long I might last me. It shifts fine, but makes noise.

Drop the pan and valve body and take a look. It has to be something that rotates so shouldn't be hard to find unless it's a missing tooth on a planetary. Might be wise to fix it now before it gets worse and takes out the whole trans.
