i have a 98 ram 1500 4x4 5.2 and the axle spring supports are rottoning away i live in the north east and no salavage yards can find me a used front axle non abs1998 arent these trucks all the same except for the abs couldnt i put a newer front houseing on my 98 even if its an abs one since it wouldnt be hooked up other then the abs arnt they all the same?from 94 to2001?

 

There are some minor differences, but, you should be able to mount any front axle under there. (of the same weight class truck)

 

when u say minor things like what it has a 355 dana 33 spline i guess when replaceing the front inner u joint i made it out of round got it back togrtherand it held for quite a while and BAM one nite the u joint cap went flying i live in newburgh ny mid up state and no salavage yards have a axle houseing since the sprring perchs are all rotton away it just a matter of time. auto zone wanted 575 for the drivers side axle thats maddness i bought a youkon axle without abs up front from rock auto for 242.00 ill be taking a trip to fla in march and am hopeing ill find a complete axle and houseing with strong spring perches doesnt the abs modle abs ring spin off or just leave it alone theres nothing to plug the on this year truck abs only in the rear drum disc up front abs wire into come on guys some one has to be able to answer this question watch year mines a 1998 dodge ram 15004x4werent they the same 1993 thru 2001
