P1391 Intermittent Loss of CMP or CKP

Code is for an intermittent crank OR cam sensor. Try replacing the crank sensor or see if it got bent when the trans was removed.

Ok I thought he said he replaced both but after looking at part he showed me the old crank sensor he replaced . Was knicked up from the flex plate Wich was also replaced .. I will have to double check if he did I cam position sensor . I had no problems with the cutting out rough idle until this work was preformed ? So I'm thinking it has to be something they did to it while doing the work ? Also what is code 72 abs ? Thanks

May have pinched wires as well. They hang kinda low back there.

What brand crank sensor did he get? Our trucks don't always care much for the aftermarket fellers...

Some are better than others, but, none are as good as the (expensive) one from the dealer.

Yah 100$ plus tax at the dealer I called . Maybe I will try that . Just doesn't seem realistic that something would happen to mess up when they were working on it . I was pretty sure they had to do something

If it was the crank sensor, highly likely they damaged it when pulling the trans, or putting it back in. Or both..... It sits on the block right between engine/trans, and is quite in the way when R&R the trans. If you don't take it out before you start, chances are real good you are going to destroy it.

Before dropping a benjamin, have you checked the wiring?

Ok could the flex plate have damaged it ? That is what he claimed but like I said I had no problems with this issue before I took it in .
