Couple Of plenum related questions
just leave them be. As said earlier, they make for a nice handle. Just disconnect the fuel line. If u do take them off, I used part store orings and they work fine.
Well the truck has about 165k miles on it and I don't believe its ever been worked on. I would expect the O-rings to be pretty dry and flat, so I'm going to do them while I'm in there.
The parts store should sell the O-Rings. Example:

Check your year and search "injector o-ring". You'll probably need multiple sets depending on how many come with the set. So pay attention to that. Be gentle with the injector rail. I disconnected the feed line and recommend doing that. Also, the o-rings can stick in the intake, so I used a bit of wd-40 around each injector and all of the injectors came out with the rail going slow. With the rail out, I replaced both top and bottom o-rings for each injector.

Doing the timing chain at the same time is a great idea. Run the cam timing 'straight up' or factory. Buy good quality gaskets.
Water pump been replaced lately? Now is a good time for that too, and the thermostat. I also did sensors too. Now is the best time to reach the crankshaft position sensor too if you've got the $100 bucks for it when the intake is off.
After removing the fan and radiator shroud, you can actually stand in the engine bay which makes most of the work easy. If you need more room for your butt or if you're a bit clumsy, pull the radiator so you don't damage it.
Good luck. It was an enjoyable repair, and the improvements are worth it.
