Default Any preference on catalytic converters?

I'm in the process of ordering the parts to get my truck back into shape, the whole 95 miles to a tank is killing my wallet...anyways the cat is bad, you can hear it rattle when I rev the motor and let it comes down off a high idle and the PO drilled holes in the cat and the pipes in front of the cat so it sounds like crap to say it plainly. I'm looking at getting an OE cat from rockauto as they're cheap and come with the supplied pipes before the cat and the pipe after the cat, I'm ordering this with two new NTK o2 sensors . Will this cat do me any good or would I be better with the $460 autozone or summit converter? Preference to what you guys have used?

Look for a magnaflow high-flow cat. They are direct fit... and can be had for 200 or so, if you search.

Make sure that your plenum is good BEFORE you change the cat, and sensors though, else you will just destroy them again anyway.

I am in the market for a magnaflow cat in the near future as well. I am seeing them around $270 with free shipping.

will check the plenum, it's on my list of to dos when I get the truck back from the trans shop, they were installing it today at 1030 am when I called so I should get it back tomorrow I'd hope anyways. I would hope that it's got the Hughes plate in it but known the last owner I bet it's the damn original. So do it before the rest gotcha, Iv only got exhaust just past the cat, the rest broke a few weeks after I got the truck so it sounds like crap and the holes drilled in the cat and pipes sound even worse. Almost like a ticking lifter
