Default diff between 99 1500 trans and 00 2500?

I think I want a spare to rebuild. Would a donor from a 1999 1500 w/360 be a good candidate, or should i hold out for one from a '00 2500?

According to theory, the electronics changed in 00. But, so far as I know, that is the ONLY difference. All the V-8 engines got the 46RE trans behind them. Doesn't matter what weight rating they were.

The bell housing was different on the diesel/V10. The pressure sensor changed in 2000. I would imagine it works the same just looks different.

96-97 have different governor sensor and neutral safety switch, 98-99 have the same governor sensor as 96-97. 00-01 moved the speed sensor to the rear diff. Not a problem, just put the sensor in place and you won't have an electrical plug for it.
