Default Torque Pro Andriod App and Tst results...

Hey all, I recently bought the BAFX ODBII adapter and the Torque Pro app. Honestly I have not had much time to sit down and do a bunch of internet searches and I thought I would ask you all.

So I have a check engine light P0303, the dreaded cylinder #3 misfire, P0300 is a secondary code. After poking around the vacuum lines, rerouting the spark plug wires according to the service bulletin, changing the throttle position sensor, cleaning the throttle body and idle position sensor I decided to try the testing section of the App. I have several tests that fail but I have no idea what is failing:

Unit and scaling information are not supplied with the data from the ECU for this type of vehicle. Consulting the manufacturers service book for this information is recommended.

End of report.

Couple of things I saw (at the top of the report) The vin is not showing and vehicle manufacture as well. A little background, truck was running fine but I needed to permanently fix the plenum, add a tranny cooler and due a complete tune up, cap, rotor wires and plugs. Also changed out the oil pressure switch since we were right there. Of course the truck ran just fine before but now mot so much. Rough idle and once the overdrive is kicked in and I try to accelerate, I get a thumping and if I turn off the overdrive it goes away.

Back to the results, I was kind of hoping that something in the report would point me in the right direction but since nothing is defined in the app and a few searches yielded me nothing I was hoping for so help. Anyone have any ideas?

Saturday, we will be checking the wires to make sure they are ok, Autolite Professionals, and the BWD brass distributor is ok as well. Plugs are Autolite Copper Core. I thinking it might be something else but we shall see.

Oh it is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 5.9L extended cab 2wd. automatic.

Where is the thumping coming from? Did you clear the memory out of pcm after all this was done? How many miles on the truck?

I call it thumping for lack of discription. Its from the tranny. Another thing i just thought of, when the overdrive is engaged, i really have to lay into it before it will drop out, go faster then reengauge. I hope that makes sense.

Cleared the pcm multiple times. 165,000 on the truck. New catalytic convertor put on last year.

Might try adjusting the TV cable a bit... see if that helps.

Today we are going to look at the plugs. If there are any issues we are gonna try some champions out.

So the #3 plug had a weird track that went down diagonally. Were thinking that there was a hairline crack in the insulator. So the champions went in and now even the overdrive issue is gone. Thanks for everyones suggestions. I still have yet to understand the results from the torque pro app and i have not rescanned either.
