Default cam questions

Building a 408 stroker motor for my pulling truck. I'm wanting to run a solid cam but I'm not really wanting to spend what they want to make a custom solid roller cam. Anybody on here run a flat tappet cam in a magnum block? Or does anybody know if a LA block has the same motor mounts as a magnum?

This is in a 97 truck. I already have it swapped to a carb.

I've seen online where magnum 360s have been carbed and installed in old mopar cars. Might want to check out magnumswap.com

LA shares same motor mounts.
Read this if you haven't:

Also you can use LA headers with Magnum gaskets if exhaust was a question at all.

Get a solid roller cam and solid roller lifters from MRL, that's what I'm running in my Eddy Headed 408.
