Default Frictions in 46RE

Hey Ive ran into a problem I haven't had before...
Rebuilding an 03 46re trans out of a Durango for my brother. I cant seem to get the correct tolerances for the direct clutch either way to loose or cant get the wavy snap ring on. The steels from the kit (wit trans) are all the same size but the frictions come in either a .085 or .06ish. I'm wondering if I can use two different thickness frictions in the same stack, havent found a clear answer on that...

I also still have the old steels which are quite a bit thicker (didnt measure). But I'm not sure if I should use them. The old frictions had plenty of meat on them yet still smelled burnt.

Sorry for being long winded I just don't want to keep ordering different frictions if what I've got works..

Call wittrans, and ask them what they suggest.

I think the kit has thinner steels, so that you can install more clutches.
