98 ram v10 won't start DF archieves referenced
Been out of area. Sorry photo did not show. The the photo was of trigger wire with the hard rubber insulator near the connector crumbling. I did get voltage last time I checked.
OK, I took the new starter and pulled it off of the truck and attached a ground wire. Working alone I did see the plunger work when I hit the starter. Same results with the old rebuilt starter that I replaced.
I've also ordered two relays from rock. Looking for Starter harness online since no-go at JCW and even though it appears to be good, the crumbling rubber from the trigger means it probably should be replaced to keep the contact from shorting later on.
May look at lgnition switch (key) in the cab. Will let all know how it goes.
