Default 98 ram v10 won't start DF archieves referenced

Wife's truck: 2500 quad with 8.0 ordered to her specs from dealer, 185K miles &1/4 tank of fuel, battery now btw 11-12 VDC by dash. I have 2/40 amp charger w/200 amp start mode.

** back history for some of my actions: Wife said AC Heater not blowing. Found coolant 2 gal low. Replaced pump and hoses with new due to pump weep constant drip after sitting over night. 3 wks later truck wont start, only single click. After letting sit 1 wk due to flu, started working on it. Put truck in Rev & rolled down driveway, place in Drive rolled forward, (believe at this point not a seized engine). Attempted multiples time after incl with battery charger in Start mode.
Haynes section 5-14, starter check, suggested bad starter. Replace the reman that only clicked with New Denso - click and spooling audible but still no start at this point Haynes suggest Ring Gear on flywheel or Driveplate is worn.
On DF & followed archive search. Headlights don't dim when key turned to start. Battery was found good prior to Starter replacement.

2nd string followed - pumped accel pedal and did get truck after 4 attempts of just click/spooling then it started 3 times in a row and ran until turned off, then nothing since. (proof not seized engine). Looking over DF for similar issues & I'm at point of thinking fuel pump. It was replaced back in 2001 by dealer that said it had a v-8 fuel pump. Fuses all checked good, I even swapped out good AC relay with the ASD relay.
No codes on ODB-II even when scanning for Full data.

Any suggestion on what to check and where including test points. I'm even game to "Easter egging" by replacing fuel pump since it was replaced in 2001 under the 7yr/100K warranty.

Tomorrow I will need to get a voltmeter since my 3 have disappeared. Probably to same place my craftsman 50-250 Ft/lbs torque wrench & my first ODB-II as well as several computer repair tools that I occasionally find with the lawn mower that no one touched.

Cheers,
Chaz

Well, do any of the water pump bolts have a ground like they do on the small blocks? Thats where i would start, but i have never worked on a V10 so may be useless info.

Fuel pump going out at same time seems like a hell of a coincidence to me although Stranger things have indeed happened.

Remove the starter and look at all the teeth on all flywheel(you will have to turn the crank manually). If any are chewed up or missing then you need a new flywheel.

Swap the starter relay with the horn relay, and see if you don't get a little more action from the starter.

-> Ham Bone, none of the bolts have a ground on them. I took it a bit further to see if any of the wires removed for wiper wash tank, due to it being mounted on the left side of radiator could be found loose, unconnected, shorted.

_> Moparite, once driveway dries up from the 20 hours of rain, I'll attempt looking at flywheel, this will be a long endeavor since family is on vacation now and I'm working by self. Gotta tend to wife's flock of fowl. But I'm on leave from work, so I have time.

left sq relays T - B: starter, blower motor, trailer. Horn relay is 2nd from top just left of fuse puller.

-> HeyYou, horn relay is different type so I swapped the trailer relay with starter relay no joy, I also hooked up battery charger at 40 amp to get dash gage to show 14 VDC prior to attempting. Gave all relays a "love tap" too. Currently back on 2 amp trickle.

Still just a single click? Is it from the relay, or the starter?

Single click is from Starter.

Verify you are getting good voltage on the solenoid trigger wire, AT the starter. Make sure the battery cable going to the starter is clean, and tight. If all that looks good, replace the starter.

Had logon problems I checked voltage at trigger to Positive battery O VDC to ground. Trigger to Positive Battery terminal 14 VDC. and when I actuated ignition 14.2 VDC.

But when I was checking contact cleanliness the rectangular molding around trigger crumbled.
