Mine are the plastic ones.
Well what happened to start with was the window controls fell down in the door.
I had the window down a bit traveling on the interstate.
And......there were rain clouds.
I couldn't get a thing in there to roll the window back up.
My tries using a pencil just convinced the control to slip lower.
So, after I stopped and getting rained on I took the screws out of the hand hold and jerked everything loose.
So I buy the closest looking ones at napa.
Then it was coldernheck one morning and they all broke off when I shut the door. Well not all of them but.
For some reason I may have tried some other ones before the ones that broke.
Like I said before, I'm not sure if it is just the Dodge dealer but they were talking $11 a piece for the damned things.
I'll fender warsher and drill before I pay that.
Guess I'm just a frustrated is all.
My other rant here lately, wiper blades. Are they making those out of recycled condoms and bubble gum or what?

I spent the money on the Rain-X wipers several years ago (they were on sale....) and they are still doing a fine job.

When I yanked my door panel loose, because my door wouldn't close..... (at a rest stop on the Ohio Turnpike....) all the little slots on the panel ripped out, and the fasteners were fine.... had to replace the door panel.

Thank you very much.
I do a lot of online buying because I live in the boondocks.
Gonna order some of these and fix my doggone door.
I have put it off long enough that it is starting to separate so I'm going to have to silicone it a bunch.

I used these from O'Reilly on my 96 Dodge Ram 1500, took door panel off twice now and they work fine, not exactly same as original, but are fine. Part 9539PK http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...0279&ppt=C0329
