It's a 2001. I've got it rigged to an old switch right now so it will work but I want it permanently attached to the main wire that powers the headlights as soon as u flip em on
Headlight switch connector C1-1 (Connector 1, pin 1), black/yellow. That'll illuminate your clearance lamps with the parking lights and headlights. You may have to increase the rating of Fuse F in the Power Distribution Center to avoid nuisance failure of that fuse.

Yep. You probably won't need it, but if that fuse (fuse F in the PDC) blows every now and then for no apparent reason, stuffing a 25A fuse in there should eliminate that nuisance failure. But then remember to add no additional loads to that circuit in the future because you don't want to make campfires between your knees and the front bumper.
Add led bulbs to it also, That will keep the amp draw down. Are you aware of the heating up of the switch terminals? This was a problem on the 2500 and 3500's due to the amount of amps threw them.

I hope that is sarcasm. I'm surprised that you would advocate that. Like moparite said, switch to LEDs and you won't have a problem. Or even just in the clearance lights.
