hi ii have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 laramie 5.2l 4x4.

Here is the problem

ill start up the truck sounds good nice and smooth dont seem to have any misfires. ill drive down the street it drives nice but the problem is when im on a road that has a 50mph speed limit well ill get up to 40mph then slightly press the gas the truck jolts a little like it hit a bump and then ill press the gas harder and the truck wont really go any faster and a weird noise sounds like its coming from the front end its real strange and i have no clue what it is as all then ill let off the gas then hit the gas a little harder it will go up to about 50 or 55 mph then the same thing happens again. i changed all the spark plugs and wires and still having the problem the truck has 115k miles my father never changed the fuel filter and he bought it new in 2000 is it possible it needs fuel filter

 

Fuel filter is non-serviceable. It gets changed when the fuel pump fails.

Fixed your plenum yet? Changed the O2 sensors??

 

Plugged catalytic converter? Got a check engine light?

 

What's a "SRT 5.2"??

Maybe he meant "SLT" but the R and L are far apart in the keyboard. Maybe it stands for Super Rad Truck!
