Default stereo help

So I took out my old deck (aftermarket) to install a newer aftermarket deck. Both simple decks nothing crazy.

Did the wiring like I have a thousand times before and it doesn't work.
Check my wiring and I'm stumped.. There's a wire that's black with two green stripes coming out of the dash that I don't know what it is (figured probably ground) just don't get what's going on. The deck doesn't even light up.

Also checked my fuses on drivers side and under hood ! Am I missing something ? Please tell me I just made an idiot mistake

Did you cut the factory plug and splice the wires together? I hope you didn't, they make adapter harnesses (Metra Harness) so you can plug and play.

The stereo deck that was in it already had a harness. so I wired the new deck I was putting in into that harness. I'd never just start cutting factory wires, but I'm at a lose of why its not working. I did try the old deck after the new one and that one doesn't work either anymore !

And I don't know if there's a connection but the door no longer chimes while open and keys on (check my fuses) driver side and under hood. Nothing popped

You need to test that you are getting power to the yellow and red wires, assuming you have standard aftermarket stereo wires. One is switched on with the key and the other is constant for preset memory and clock.

But I've checked multiple times none popped unless there's another fuse panel other then drivers side inside and under hood ?

Drives side of the dash. Open the door, there it is.

Rechecked all fuses. They were fine but they are these funny fuses that "light up" when popped, changed a few back to normal fuses and boom started working fine.. So happy its just a small thing thanks for everyone's help didn't know what I screwed up hahaha
