Unhappy Lca Bracket help

I was on i 70 west and i ran over the rubber base that supports the upright for the dividers IE cones. I completely removed the lower control arm bracket the lower half from the axle. I was thinking about welding it because they do not make a replacement bracket. I was wondering once i finish fabricating the bracket and welding it on do i need to worry about the alignment of the vehicle? I am short on cash unfortunately i am a disabled veteran who is also a student so my funds are a little short. I was reading that I should replace the entire front axle.

Its a 2001 dodge ram 1500 sport with a sky jacker lift. its the v8 318 motor. I bought it with the lift on it.
