Power door locks not working
I just bought a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and the locks work fine but the power door locks are not working at all. I'm thinking it might be a fuse but I'm not sure what fuse to replace or where it would be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
First, you will want to go here and get your service manual for your year truck. Page 653 should get you to the Diagnosing and Testing section of the Power Door Lock System. Start from there and go down the list. In my case, I had a bad ground (I wound up removing the factory grounding setup and did my own) and the main power wire had a short in it. I had to run fresh wire from the driver side door to my passenger side door. (The power runs from the driver door switch assembly to the passenger side assembly and then to the CTM). It took me a solid two weeks to work through all the steps doing it part time in the evenings, but it was worth it to have my power locks back!

When I either lock from the fob or driver/passenger door, only the driver door and tailgate will lock. When unlocking all doors and tailgate works as designed. Anyone had this happen and what did you find?
You want to be in the fourth Gen ram section.
